About Us
The McKinley Citizen's Recycling
Council is a grassroots effort that has worked facilitate recycling in our
community for more than twenty years. To the extent that we are trying to
advance recycling efforts, we try to work with local organizations. The
Community Pantry has been a partner and has
accepted. In the past year they have collected 72 tons of paper for
recycling and have used the revenue to feed the needy. Students at the
Gallup campus of UNM have a recycling program that collects paper and
aluminum. We are always interested in hearing from groups or individuals
interested in advancing the effort.
We hold public meetings each month on the first Saturday at 2:00 PM. The
minutes of our meetings are available here.
Our officers are elected by our members annually.
